Here is the original photo that I used. I tried to not use a tree as this is what was used in the demonstration video, however clouds, moon, and waterfalls were just not giving me good results. Below this are a few examples of what I did to manipulate this photo.
What you have is a bilateral symmetry that is repeated as a module in a group of 8, rather than a 4 way mirror that interconnects all the way through the piece. If you take two of the modules and flip one of them vertically, then repeat that you will arrive at the solution...
